We now have the latest software available and are able to remap ALL BMW models (including
diesels) via the OBD socket - so we do not open the ECU - no warranty issues!!

To understand how and why the re-mapping of an engine's electronic control unit (ECU) works, you need to understand that all major motor manufacturers have to set their engines so that they will operate anywhere in the world, at extremes of temperature and pressure and on poor quality fuel.
As such requirements are unnecessary in the UK, major gains in performance, economy and general driveability can be achieved simply by re-programming the engine management system.
The aim of re-mapping a car is not to squeeze every last bit of power out of the
engine but to balance the power and economy, increasing the performance within the
limits of the engine.
In doing so we aim to increase the drivability of the car making a more enjoyable
ride - whatever your driving style and type of driving - towing, motorway etc.
